FUT 21 – Team of the Week 28 Predictions

With the international break now over, professional players worldwide have now returned to their club duties during the past week, with surprising results to showcase too.

Prior to the official FUT 21 Team of the Week (TOTW) 28 list being released tomorrow, here are some of the predicted names which could feature, due to their impressive displays of domestic football throughout the last few days.

FORMATION: 3-4-3

GOALKEEPER

– Marco Silvestri (Hellas Verona): OVR 77

                ~ The 30-year old Italian goalkeeper was in great form on Saturday night, keeping Cagliari at bay while ensuring the 2-0 win for Hellas Verona, keeping their excellent campaign this season on target.

DEFENDERS

– Denzel Dumfries (PSC Eindhoven): OVR 79

                ~ Dumfries was one of the better PSV performers on Sunday night, scoring a header after running into the box from the right flank, besides constantly keeping the pressure on Heracles during their 3-0 win.

– Alessandro Bastoni (Inter Milan): OVR 75

                ~ Young Italian defender, Alessandro Bastoni was exceptional during Inter Milan’s 1-0 win against Bologna, keeping a cool head while constantly stopping the opposition attacks close to the penalty box.

– Benjamin Mendy (Manchester City): OVR 81

                ~ The French international carried over his superb international form for Manchester City too, scoring once in their 2-0 win against an on-form Leicester City side.

MIDFIELDERS

– Marcus Thuram (Borussia Monchengladbach): OVR 80

                ~ The young Frenchman was the decisive player for Borussia Monchengladbach against SC Freiburg on Sunday night, his brace being the difference which culminated in the team’s 2-1 win.

– Leon Goretzka (Bayern Munich): OVR 84

                ~ The consistent midfielder has been staking a claim to be included in TOTW for many weeks now, with his goal against RB Leipzig in Bayern’s 1-0 win another reminder of his outstanding talents and composure.

– Fabinho (Liverpool): OVR 87

                ~ The defensive midfielder is known to be amongst the best in the world, as his return into Liverpool’s midfield provided the wall which protected their unpredictable backline, in their 3-0 win against Arsenal at the Emirates.

– Filip Kostic (Eintracht Frankfurt): OVR 83

                ~ The Serbian winger is one of Frankfurt’s key performers throughout their impressive campaign this season, with his assist late in the game providing Andre Silva the opportunity to score a late winner in their 2-1 win against a strong Borussia Dortmund side.

FORWARDS

– Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo): OVR 84

                ~ The proven Spanish striker continues to terrorize La Liga defences with his constant channelling runs, dribbling and fine finishing skills, scoring once and assisting another in Celta Vigo’s 3-1 win against Deportivo Alaves on Sunday night.

– Gerard Moreno (Villareal): OVR 83

                ~ This week proved to be another one for the memories as Spanish forward Gerard Moreno scored a hat-trick for The Yellow Submarines, helping them edge Granada by 3-0.

– Luis Muriel (Atalanta): OVR 79

                ~ Atalanta’s two-goal hero remains a crucial figure in their fight for a Champions League spot next season, culminating in their closely-fought 3-2 win against Udinese on Saturday.
